Al has a passion for planning for both businesses and families structuring strategies for effective asset transfer and protection. His goal is to provide safe money strategies to ensure that retirement income continues for as long as it is needed.

He Began his career in 1975 with MetLife in Charlotte and in 1982 formed Scepter Securities growing it and its affiliates to become the 5th largest private placement firm (under 50 employees) in the US according to Financial Planning Magazine. In building his career, Al decided to start his own independent firm in 1993 under his name, later forming Carolina Financial Management an affiliate FOUNDER Carolina Financial Management ADVISOR PARTNER Management, of Great Lakes & Atlantic Wealth Management.

Graduated From Mercer University
Al attended Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina for two years before joining the Army and served active duty for two years and the reserve for four years. He then graduated from Mercer University with a major in Psychology and English Literature. He was born in New York and lived in Germany for four years before growing up in Fayetteville, NC. He now resides in Tega Cay, SC with his wife Lisa and step son Dylan. Al has a daughter, Ali who lives in Columbia, SC and a daughter, Cherilyn who is deceased Al and his family attend Christ Church in deceased. Charlotte. Al is an active member of the Fort Mill Rotary Club in South Carolina.
